Private Duty Nursing
Licensed
practical nurses and registered nurses are available to stay in the
customer's home for 2-24 hours daily, including weekends and holidays. In
addition to performing customer-specific nursing care under the guidelines
of a physician's order, these professionals act as a vital link between the
customer, family and physician. With an increasing focus on out-patient
procedures and reduced hospital recovery times, short-term private duty nursing can be
exceptionally beneficial following a surgery or hospital stay. People coping
with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary
disease or multiple sclerosis may also find it helpful to utilize a private
duty nurse's skills to help manage the disease either on a temporary or
ongoing basis.
VNP nurses are licensed and are compliant with up-to-date
infection control, CPR and HIPAA (privacy law) requirements. They
receive continuing education and are tested annually on their clinical
skills and competencies.
