July 8, 2010 VISITING NURSE PLUS RECEIVES HOME CARE PULSE CERTIFICATION Visiting Nurse Plus, Inc. has completed and received its Home Care Pulse Certification. Home Care Pulse, a company which measures client and employee satisfaction, created the certification program to measure key satisfaction aspects of in-home care delivery as well as the level of satisfaction of the caregiving staff. The certification requires an agency to be reviewed monthly and includes the evaluation of areas such as loyalty, benchmarking improvements, client and employee interviews, caregiver performance, caregiver morale, agency incentives and more. MARY WILLETT NAMED 2009 CAREGIVER OF THE YEAR Evansville native Mary Willett was named the Visiting Nurse Plus 2009 Caregiver of the Year at the Agency's annual holiday staff luncheon. Following her retirement from the Evansville State Hospital, Mary joined Visiting Nurse Plus as a Companion Caregiver in 1998, and was promoted to Personal Care Assistant in 2002. She was nominated by her supervisors, who described her as "a giving person that is dedicated to her customers and is always willing to step in and help whenever it is needed." The Caregiver of the Year award is presented annually to a field staff employee that best exemplifies the Mission of Visiting Nurse Plus. VISITING NURSE PLUS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ELECTED TO SERVE AT STATE AND NATIONAL LEVELS Gloria Horton, Executive Director of Visiting Nurse Plus, Inc., has been elected to a two-year term on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Association for Home and Hospice Care (IAHHC).
