Home Care Aide
aideThese individuals assist with bathing, grooming and other personal care and may also perform tasks and treatments that have been assigned by a nurse or therapist such as:

  • Bed bath
  • Range of motion exercises
  • Vital signs checks
  • Nail trims
  • Use of special transfer equipment, such as a Hoyer lift

A physician’s order is necessary for these types of services. The supervising nurse or therapist is required by law to make in-home visits at least once a month to oversee and evaluate the duties performed by the Home Care Aide; a 20-minute minimum visit rate is charged for these supervisory visits. To be employed by Visiting Nurse Plus, Home Care Aides must meet and maintain required standards for the State of Indiana.
